Saudi property sales by city and district

The Ministry of Justice publishes registered property sales on the Saudi Open Data Portal and in the real-estate transactions report on its website. We have brought these sales together in one organised file: 1,474,665 sales from 2020 to Q2 2026 across 175 cities, with consistent region and city names. These are the sales in the Ministry's published file.

Riyadh data from 2025 onwards is incomplete: sales registered through the Real Estate Registry may be missing. Why?

What does each sale record contain?

Each record contains the date, city and district, classification (residential, commercial, agricultural or mixed), number of properties, price, area and transaction reference number. We calculate the price per square metre from the price and area. The Ministry's fields remain as published.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?

The Ministry of Justice publishes the sales on the Saudi Open Data Portal and in its public real-estate transactions report. KSA Land Data brings those records together in a file with consistent region and city names. We are independent and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any government entity.

What period does the quarterly dataset cover?

The quarterly dataset contains 1,474,665 sales from Q1 2020 to Q2 2026 across 175 cities and 13 regions. Its newest deals are dated 30 June 2026. The site's separate freshness line reports data through 31 August 2026, last added on 29 October 2026. Read the coverage notes for the distinction between quarterly files and preliminary monthly updates.

Does the file include every property sale in Saudi Arabia?

These totals count sales in the Ministry's published file. REGA's indicators include sales from both the Ministry of Justice and the Real Estate Registry and use different city lists and property groups. We have not measured how much each difference affects the totals, so we do not publish a coverage percentage. See coverage and limitations.

Why does Riyadh need a warning?

Riyadh data from 2025 onwards is incomplete, and sales registered through the Real Estate Registry may be missing. Treat Riyadh medians from 2025 onwards as a sample of the deals the Ministry published. For Riyadh sales volumes, the coverage page points to REGA's indicators, which include sales from both sources.

What does the median price per square metre mean?

The median is the middle value. City, region and district medians use residential sales over the 12 months ending with the newest quarter, July 2025 to June 2026. Records with no area are left out of price-per-square-metre medians. District figures based on fewer than 20 sales can vary widely from quarter to quarter.

Can I try the data before buying the full file?

Yes. The datasets page has a free sample and the full file. The free Q2 2026 sample contains 34,656 sale rows across all 13 regions.
